The Academy’s purpose is to safeguard and develop regional and national cooking cultures and their culinary heritage.

To this end, it studies, at the international level, all matters relating to food and in particular to gastronomy; it provides advice and makes recommendations to any official or private organization.

It encourages and supports worldwide all public or private projects related to culture and education in the field of food and gastronomy.

The International Academy of Gastronomy (IAG) is present on all continents (except Oceania).
