From culinary long tradition impressed of many influences, this alpine country was formerly an empire: Austria was made up of Hungary, of Bohemia, of the Tyrol of the South and Triestre and Istrie, part of current Croatia. The Turks, made at the doors of Vienna never took the Capital. The whole world was gathered at the Austrian court. Swedes and Prussians, English and Russians, French and Greeks "banquetaient" there.
